Bred specially as a hunting and guarding companion, these dogs are easy to housebreak and do not need to be trained to accept the leash. They really enjoy their training sessions in the open air, do their best excercising and love to please their master.

Russian Bear Schnauzers are not aggressive, they have a strong and balanced temperament. Males are usually very competitive and are jealous of other big dominant dogs. They however avoid fighting with none-dominant or small dogs and can easily live with cats, horses, rabbits etc. A puppy rescue may offer more choices than breeders.
